The Hamilton Mill “Hammerhead” swim team just finished another successful season and is sending a record number of swimmers to the Gwinnett County Championships to be held at Georgia Tech on July 19th and 20th.
As a father of two swimmers, one of which is heading to the County meet, I can tell you that each and every one of our children should be congratulated on the efforts put forward this year. In my families three years on the Hamilton Mill swim team, there continues to be a vast improvement every year.
A big thanks goes out to all the coaches and volunteers that take the time and effort to make the Hamilton Mill swim team what it is today. We are a rapidly improving program and one that will continue to improve with the continued support of the community in which we live.

The Hamilton Mill “Hammerhead” swim team is nearing the end of another highly successful season and rapidly approaching the Gwinnett County Swim meet at Georgia Tech.
Annually, the Gwinnett County swim meet is held at Georgia Tech and this years event is scheduled to be held on July 19th and 20th. This is a great place to honor our Hamilton Mill swimmers who have earned a spot in the Championship. The top 75 swimmers in each event are able to participate in the meet and this year the Hamilton Mill swim team is probably going to send more swimmers than in any past year.
Congratulations to all of those swimmers who have earned their way to the County Championships!!

Well, I got my pool badge in the mail today! I guess summer is almost here!
Believe it or not, this weekend the Hamilton Mill pools are open. Both pools are on an abbreviated schedule thru May 21st (that’s when Gwinnett County schools get out) After that, the schedule is, of course, much longer — for the long days of summer. Then, this fall, the schedule is short again — after August 10th. Here’s the schedule thru May 21st:
Lakeview Pool at Hamilton Mill schedule for May 10 to May 21
Sunday thru Thursday: 10am to 8pm / Friday & Saturday: 10am to 9pm
(Gwinnett County Schools are in session thru May 21)
Millview Pool at Hamilton Mill schedule for May 10 to May 21
Friday: 4pm to 9pm / Saturday: 10am to 9pm / Sunday: 10am to 8pm
(Lakeview is only open on Weekends thru May 21)

Hamilton Mill – “Hammerheads” Swim Team Information
Related Posts: Amenities, Fun Stuff For Kids, Homeowners Assoc, Parks & Sports
hi LikeThe 2008 “Hammerhead” Swim Team Season is quickly approaching and we wanted to get this information to you.
There has been some confusion as to what type of season we may have for the 2008 Spring session. There is uncertainty about whether or not other neighborhood pools in the county will be in operation because of the current drought we are experiencing. Hamilton Mill is one of the few communities with the means to find and fund alternative sources of pool water, but if the other teams in the swim league can’t fill their pools, there won’t be a season.
The swim team committee will be attending the January GCSL meeting next Thursday (24th), and we will have updated information out to you as soon as possible after that.
For now, the Hammerheads are tentatively planning on an open registration for returning swimmers and their siblings February 9-23. More information will follow immediately after the meeting next week.

Hamilton Mill Does Christmas with The Griswolds!

Don’t you love it when you drive past a house in July and see the twinkling Christmas lights! I am sure we all have seen this and wondered what these folks are thinking.
One of the benefits of a strong Homeowners Association (HOA) is to have guidelines that we all, as residents need to abide by and follow. Yes, they can be a royal pain but without enforcement of the guidelines we’d all be in trouble when we go to sell our homes.
In Hamilton Mill, we’ve got guidelines regarding the Christmas lights ( and guidelines about just about everything else!) Here’s what the guidelines say about Christmas lights:
Holiday Decorations -Exterior Christmas Decorations may not be displayed before Thanksgiving and must be removed by January 10. For all other Holidays, all decorations, including flags, may be displayed one week before the holiday and must be removed no later than one week after the holiday.
You can also contact Property Management at 678-546-3737 for additional details or questions.

hi LikeHamilton Mill Tennis just held their 2nd annual Tennis Extravaganza. This special event raised funds for non-budgeted improvements to the tennis facility. We had 64 players, and over 100 total participants on October 20th. The tennis event was sponsored by Diamond Dwellings and Prince Tennis. Players were divided into 8 “countries” and many sported the colors for their country. Italy was the grand champion, defeating Austrailia in the finals. Food was provided by Antonetta’s, Asian Cafe, Chili’s, Dos Copas, and Log Cabin BBQ. Special thanks to Karen Foley (Simply Tastefully) for the delicious appetizers and munchies. Funds raised will be used for additional shade on court and at spectator areas, and for an online reservation system. The winning team also won a case of tennis balls from Diamond Dwellings!
